Musée Héritage Museum

The Michel Band focuses on the family, the injustice and the perseverance of a local Aboriginal band that was the only First Nation in Canada forced to enfranchise but, in doing so, lost their Aboriginal and treaty rights. YEG Canvas

The Edmonton Arts Council's third annual public art project shows on various billboard and LRT poster locations throughout the capital city, featuring 135 artworks by 107 artists. Check out David Scott's work Keep Out, Daniel Evans' Growth/Decay, and Rick Rogers' Interdependence, among others. A celebration with the artists will take place on Mon., Nov. 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mile Zero Dance’s Spazio Performativo space, 10816 95 St. A new set of the limited edition #YEGCanvas trading cards will be available at the celebration and other EAC events. The Country Craft Fair is everybody's favourite annual craft sale. There will be vendors aplenty (including studio and guild artists) offering art, food, handcrafted items and much more in the foyer of City Hall and in the studios. Free admission and free parking. It runs this weekend: Sat., Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sun., Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Albert Place. www.sapvac.ca The Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists is having its Members Show and Sale full of original artworks for sale this weekend with an opening event to take place on Sat., Nov. 18 from noon to 5 p.m. It will run until Sat., Dec. 16. www.snapartists.com The Big Lake Artists' Studios is having its Christmas Open House and Sale on the weekend of Nov. 24 and 25 with 10% of all sale proceeds to the St. Albert Food Bank.
