POURTRAITS is an evening art show featuring unique portraits done in a wide range of styles from surrealism to expressionism. Alberta Culture Days takes place during the weekend of Friday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 2 at many points around the province including St. Albert and Morinville. The St. Albert Paint Party, a combination of painting and socializing on a soccer pitch, as led by Tyler Dianocky of Art After Dark. It will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tudor Glen South Field House of Servus Place, 400 Campbell Rd. The St. Albert Place Visual Arts Council is also hosting a hands-on bookmaking workshop in the Quilting Studios in St. Albert Place. That will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Includes demonstrations by the Floral Arts Society, the St. Albert Painters Guild, St. Albert Potters Guild, and the St. Albert Quilters’ Guild.
