Weiller and Williams Co Ltd: Building a Livestock Empire is the new exhibit on the history of the local cattle industry coming to the MusĂ©e HĂ©ritage Museum. It features a large donation of business and family items that had belonged to Leland Stanford (Lee) Williams, partner in one of Canada’s largest cattle-commission firms who also had extensive involvement with horse racing in the province. POURTRAITS is an evening art show featuring unique portraits done in a wide range of styles from surrealism to expressionism. Participants include St. Albert painter Marina Alekseeva along with Glen Ronald, Taissa, Brooke Erin, Dallas Larose, Kris Friesen, Oksana, Dale Shippit, Joanne Guthrie and Doug Madill. There will be live painting plus crowd painting and door prizes with a live DJ. A portion of art sales will go to One for Another International to provide surgeries for children in Africa. Alberta Culture Days takes place during the weekend of Friday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 2 at many points around the province including St. Albert and Morinville.
