Karen Blanchet is participating in several new exhibits including Limitless, which runs online at www.artists.ca (until Aug. 31), Connect the Dots at Harcourt House, 10215 112 Ave. in Edmonton (runs from June 14 to July 9), and Oh! the Audacity! is Harcourt’s 24th Annual Naked Show from June 23 to July 5. If you’re still hankering for more, Blanchet just installed several paintings from her new Wildwood series in VASA Gallery’s newest space called the Corridor Gallery. That exhibit, Beloved, will stay on display until July 14. She is fresh off of a win for Honourable Mention in the Federation of Canadian Artists’ From Life show in Vancouver.
Peter Gegolick will be stepping into the championship ring for the provincial Art Battle title tomorrow. The Works Art and Design Festival is putting on its 2016 festival called Art and Design Redefined from Thursday, June 23 to Tuesday, July 5 at more than 20 locations throughout downtown and south side Edmonton. Father Douglas has a Works exhibit lined up to start on Friday, June 24 at the Centre d'arts visuels de l'Alberta. Puppy Party features a series of his dog-inspired works.
