Mosquito’s Wedding

Never one to shy away from taking risks, Shumka Ukrainian Dance Company is hosting the world premiere of Mosquito’s Wedding (All We Need is Love).

This 50-minute all-ages dance theatre production focuses on the love story between a mosquito and a fly. To make this family friendly show come alive, it features a number of insect characters from various regions of Ukraine.

What makes this production stand apart from others is the introduction of puppetry and stilt-walkers under the direction of Randall Fraser.

Les Sereda directs Mosquito’s Wedding and choreographers include Sturgeon County’s John Pichlyk and St. Albert’s Tasha Orysiuk.

Mosquito’s Wedding runs at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on Oct. 5 and 6. Tickets range from $15 to $75. Visit www.ticketmaster.ca.
