Edmonton Vocal Minority concert

Familiar faces and unknowns mark EVM’s 25th anniversary Pride concert featuring the choir and performer-writer Darrin Hagen.

This year’s theme is “Connected” based on a script by Hagen. It explores people’s lives, the environment, our intertwined history and how differences make our community stronger.

Conductor Paula Roberts has selected music from Dear Evan Hansen and Fame along with compositions by Hagen, Trevor Schmidt and EVM vocalist Jamie Price.

The mixed choir has also dug into its musical vault to prepare a special time travel set from ABBA to Adele.

The Queer musical choir celebrates this special milestone and welcomes the entire community to enjoy an evening of wonderful music.

The concert takes place Saturday, June 16 at 8 p.m. in the Westbury Theatre, ATB Financial Arts Barns, 10330 – 84 Ave. Tickets are available at 780-420-1757 or at www.tixonthesquare.ca.
