Cry Pretty Tour
A few days ago Carrie Underwood tweeted she is pregnant with her second child with hockey player Mike Fisher.Right on the coattails of the 35-year-old country singer-songwriter's tweet, her team announced the launch of The Cry Pretty Tour 360 in support of her Cry Pretty album due for release on Sept. 14.
The seven-time Grammy winner kicks off the 55-city arena tour May 1, 2019, in Greenboro, N.C., with a performance at Edmonton's Rogers Place on May 28.
Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.ca Fan club pre-sale and VIP Package pre-sale start Monday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. to Thursday, Aug. 16 at 10 p.m.
Animethon 25
As Canada’s longest-running Japanese anime festival, Animethon 25 ramps it up with a gaming hall, anime viewing, costume contests, concerts and celebrity guests from Japan.ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D, a rock band mixing rock, punk, emo and assorted other genres, is the big headliner vocalizing its lyrics in Japanese. Another much-anticipated singer is Kanako Ito, a singer who focuses on anime/game-theme songs.
In addition to singers, Animethon introduces Daisuke Sakaguchi, an anime and video game actor. Several of his anime roles include Shinpachi Shimura from Gintama, Leonardo Watch from Blood Blockade Battlefront and Jacuzzi from Baccano!
