Thoroughly Modern Mountie sees Capitol Theatre Players Improv Comedy Troupe slap on their wide-brimmed hats.Once again the North West Mounted Police fumble through more mysteries. This time bungling brothers, Constable Robert McKenzie and Constable Douglas McKenzie, encounter curious emojis.
Things go wrong after the duo discovers a sequence of emojis in the Edmonton Mountains. Has a curse been placed on the folks at Fort Edmonton? Or is there greater evil afoot?
Directed by Dana Andersen, the improv show stars Tom Edwards, Matt Busby, Davina Stewart, Jeff Halaby, Peter Brown and Aimee Beaudoin.

Although she only started singing the blues six years ago, singer-songwriter Lynn Chwyl has spent considerable time touring across Alberta and sharing stages with Amos Garrett, Bruce Conte, MonkeyJunk, Studebaker John, Dave Babcock and Rusty Reed to name a few.She’s back at LB’s Pub on Saturday, May 19 with a starring lineup of musicians that include guitarist Ben Sures, drummer Dean Pierno, bassist Jeff Bartlett and keyboardist Dennis Meneely.
