Pull out your laugh track. Rapid Fire, the company with the region’s sharpest, wittiest improvisers gets ready to jump on a laugh-a-minute soapbox one more time.
The Edmonton improvisers, including St. Albert’s Matt Alden, have created Catch-23, a competitive scenario where three troupers get exactly 23 minutes each to outperform the others. Each show features RFT’s finest improvisers facing off against the cream of the capital region’s improv scene.
The Saturday series runs at the Citadel Theatre on Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are at the door.

Pro Coro Canada jumps into the new season with a salute to Alberta Culture Days. Stars!, held Sunday, Oct. 2 at All Saints Cathedral is an afternoon of popular, contemporary music sung by local stars.
Artistic director Michael Zaugg combines the performances of singer-songwriters Erin Kay, Lindsey Walker, Ken Stead, Amber Suchy and Darren Frank with the 24-member professional choir.
