For the June 2016 Global Edmonton Woman of Vision, MacDonald has selected singer-songwriter Hailey Benedict, 14.
MacDonald will air a short segment on Benedict's life and achievements on Monday, June 13 at 6 p.m.
The Grade 8 Lorne Akins Junior High student is equally versatile singing country at Big Valley or musical theatre on the Citadel stage.
Benedict is a two-time nominee for the Association of Country Music in Alberta as well as the youngest winner of the 2014 ACMA Fan Choice Award.
Just last Saturday, June 4, she became the recipient of the 2016 Global Country Star Search winner in the youth category.
As the latest Global Woman of the Month, Benedict has joined the company of prominent women such as physician-astronaut Shawna Pandya, air traffic controller Kendra Kincade, chocolatier Jacqueline Jaceck and EPS deputy chief Danielle Campbell.
