At noon on the last Thursday of each month, StAlbertTODAY.ca will be displaying an online gallery of art created by high school students.

Re/LAUNCH/ing is a new online forum for high school art. Look for highlights on the last Thursday of every month on the Gazette's website.

The esteemed Federation of Canadian Artists has a new chapter in Edmonton - one that's been in the works for two years.

Local painter Doris Charest and New Zealand web developer Connor Finlayson came together to build something more than a directory of Alberta artists: they're hoping to build up the artists themselves into having a better online presence and better bottomlines too.

Amplify Festival is still in the works for October, but it has a podcast to keep you in tune with the local youth arts scene, plus it's hosting its end of summer party in the park called Illuminate on Saturday. Fest organizers have also put out the call for writers, musicians and – new this year – filmmakers to be featured during the fall spectacular.

When you can’t bring the people to the experimental art exhibit, you must bring the experimental art exhibit to the people’s computers. That’s just how you have to roll in 2020.
