Death is a topic most of us avoid. Who wants to ponder the end? It’s simply too morbid. However, Let’s Talk About Your Death is anything but morbid. 

This 60-minute revue is more than a string of gold standards. A great deal of thought has gone into it ranging from vibrant costumes and portable set pieces to easy-on-the-eyes blocking and choreographed moves.

To be successful a children’s show needs to be entertaining, educational, breezy, interactive and generally packed with fun. Melanie Gall, a St. Albert classical soprano, provides that and more in her return to Opera Mouse. 

St. Albert's Maureen Rooney is great as Granny, effectively showing the fear and frustration of someone losing touch, holding on to fleeting memories.

It’s a messy tale packed with the heartbreak of human tragedy.
