Airdrie RCMP seeking tips after two-year-old struck by car in parking lot

Police are seeking a suspect in a reported hit and run involving a child in Airdrie.

On May 17, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m., Airdrie RCMP was informed of a hit and run that took place in the parking lot of the Superstore at 300 Veterans Blvd in Airdrie.

According to the complaint, a two-year-old broke loose from her parent, ran in the parking lot and was struck by the front driver side of a vehicle, who failed to remain on scene. The child did not appear to have any serious injuries.

  • Male;
  • Pale complexion;
  • Mid 20s or Early 30s;
  • Black Hair; and
  • Bearded.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle or the driver is asked to please come forth.

Furthermore, anyone with dashcam footage from the area surrounding the Superstore from May 17, 2024, between 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. is asked to please review the footage and submit anything that could help.
