Why play up the Conservative parrot?

Why did you give our local Conservative party trained seal the biggest headline on the Gazette’s front page on Dec. 12? Were Mr. Cooper's assertions new? Nope, he parroted what he was told to say. That's not news. Was it because Mr.

Was it because Mr. Cooper's lines were true? A carbon tax is "an assault on our energy sector." Funny: the energy sector doesn't seem to think so. Truth? I did mention that Mr. Cooper represents the Conservatives? So why give him that large, black font?

Was it because Mr. Cooper wants, as a backbencher, to "help shape legislation?" We all know what the Conservatives think about that sort of independence.

So why was there a big, bold headline for something which was not news, nor important? Slow news day?

I take it that Mr. Cooper and your readers recognize that he could not possibly have done so under Stephen Harper.
