Where are St. Albert's influential and hard-working women?

Re: St. Albert Community Foundation: I applaud the excellent spread in your Jan. 19 Gazette. You rightfully praise the St. Albert Community Foundation’s philanthropy. The spread also included photos of seven board members, all handsome men.

I applaud the excellent spread in your Jan. 19 Gazette. You rightfully praise the St. Albert Community Foundation’s philanthropy. The spread also included photos of seven board members, all handsome men. Where are the women? St. Albert has many women deserving a position on your board, women who have already given much to this community. This is the age of equity.

I admit to being a little sensitive about this. My daughter is a member of an NGO in Washington, D.C., dedicated to the advancement of women. Jacqueline’s territory is Africa, primarily Sudan, where she works with women aspiring to governance roles in their country. Perhaps we should bring her back to St. Albert.
