I was a speeder for years until I stepped back and thought about my behaviours. Like numerous other wailers, I liked to blame everyone but myself for my bad driving habits. In a eureka moment it dawned on me that speeders are cheaters. People who may confidently think of themselves as ethical and upright human beings are in fact cheaters.
Do you trust a known cheater in any personal or business relationship?
Then we have these cheaters whining about cash cows as if this was a rationale for their behaviour. So what if you receive a well-deserved speeding ticket. Shut up and pay up!
Is your behaviour much different than it was when you were two or three years old and yelling at your parent(s) "I don't wanna?" As I realized, being grown up comes with some responsibilities like being less narcissistic and considering others on the road and elsewhere in society.
To help you in your approach to reality, I recommend that the City of St. Albert have permanent photo radar cameras at every red light on the St. Albert Trail and along McKenney Avenue and of course, Forest Drive.
Excellent work Dean Schick, Stu Fraser and the diligent members of the RCMP, more speeding tickets please!
To the immature (at any age) whiners a revelation: If you speed, you may (hopefully) get a speeding ticket ...
