On Sept. 29 the City of St. Albert honoured Victor Post by renaming the park at the base of the clock tower, at the corner of Perron Street and Sir Winston Churchill Avenue, Victor Post Park.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to those individuals whose efforts made this possible with special thanks to Victor’s nephew, Jamie Post, and to Dave Geddes, long-time St. Albert resident and retired teacher. Thank you both for remembering Victor and taking time to write Mayor Crouse.
Thank you as well Mayor Crouse and city administrators for bestowing this honour on Victor and for remembering other deserving St. Albertans and recognizing them in their own way. By continuing to remember the past, I believe you are looking toward the future.
