Utilites a burden on seniors

As a follow up to the Your Views comment in the Gazette, May 6, by Dan Hallet – Utilities become just another tax.

At our household, consisting of two seniors, our latest bill was $300 (I watered my grass once for 45 minutes). A friend, a widow, had a similar bill, so it appears we are not the only ones.

The question must be asked ... what do we do about it? I know – let’s make complaining the new "coin of the realm," so the more we complain, the more "coins" we can get to offset the outrageous new "utilities tax."

Does anyone like my plan?
