The UN’s bold strategy of promoting the output of theoretical models while attacking the multiple lines of actual evidence from observations doesnt make scientific sense.
Projections from these models are being used for climate policies as well. Model output is not science; it is not proof of the links between climate variations and greenhouse gases.
Proposed and enacted regulations, such as those in the Paris agreement, will have no meaningful or useful consequence on the physical climate system even if one believes climate models are useful tools for prediction. The authors of the IPCC Climate Assessments and their media cheerleaders have lost credibility. Global warming is an unproven theory. It is political, not scientific.
The UN’s greenhouse gas “science” was superficially plausible, but actually wrong. It is specious nonsense to say that carbon dioxide is a pollutant that is creating catastrophic global warming. In fact, carbon dioxide is vital to life and has a net beneficial effect. If we really care about the environment, we shouldn’t be spending hundreds of billions of dollars on carbon credits, wind and solar power, things that don’t work. If we really care about the greater good, we should be investing in adaptation, cleaning up smoke emissions, and providing affordable energy for all.
