Costco to Village Landing on St. Albert Trail, 27 minutes, every light was red, AGAIN.
Called the engineering department at the city and spoke with a manager there. He informed me they are going to be installing "smart lights" to hopefully be running in September this year (yes, I had to make sure which year). It is supposed to improve the synchronization of the traffic flow and lights on St. Albert Trail. Yay, about time. This has been an issue for years.
I have found it faster to go into Edmonton to shop. This would be a project that the money spent will benefit all people living in St. Albert who use the roads, not just for special interest groups.
Wow, a common-sense decision, now if the city would only make more.
