If the Catholic Church via its proxy the St. Albert Separate School Board, is allowed to perpetuate the teaching of biblical “truths” in schools like: a talking snake, immaculate conception, walking on water, the resurrection of the dead and transubstantiation, how in heaven’s name (pun intended) can they honestly claim that allowing a transgendered teacher in a classroom would “confuse the children”? I'm not a Catholic, as you can probably guess, but the expenditure of school board funds that would be properly and rightly spent on the children and their education to defend such a mean and short-sighted decision is shameful. Curious but I wonder what is being taught in language arts class when the term “irony” comes up?
