Too few people wearing the poppy this year

Three days before the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, I took my daughter to Servus Place for a lesson.

I was there for close to 90 minutes. During that time, I walked around the building – curious to see how many people were wearing poppies. To my shock and absolute disgust, I saw two other people with poppies – one young girl (aged 5 or 6) and one adult.

Have the people of St. Albert become so self-absorbed that they can't take 30 seconds to throw some change in a box and put a poppy on their jacket?

This is not the same St. Albert that I moved to several years ago and I am more than happy to say that purchasing a property elsewhere is probably the best thing I have ever done.
