The dreaded utility bill

The utility bill with the Supplemental Capital Contribution Tax – oops, highway robbery, oops, fee added to it – is an additional $47.62 on my bill. Flat rate charges $84.88. Actual usage cost on bill $91.24. The storm flat rate is $31.

The utility bill with the Supplemental Capital Contribution Tax – oops, highway robbery, oops, fee added to it – is an additional $47.62 on my bill. Flat rate charges $84.88. Actual usage cost on bill $91.24. The storm flat rate is $31.58 of the total flat rate. I am still not real clear why we should be paying this.

Flat rates and Supplemental Capital Contribution Tax totals $132.50. The usage cost is $91.24. Somewhere the train went off the rails with city council’s thinking. Now the taxpayer is left holding the bill for issues not yet happening. As we have been warned this is only the beginning of the increases.

We need a council that lives in reality not fantasyland. Utility costs in St Albert are way out of line.
