I would like to place a comment and thank-you to the safe drivers on Sir Winston Churchill Avenue.
Wednesday early evening, approximately around 7 p.m., I was walking my tan shepherd along the green space behind Welland/Windermere crescents.
A couple of grouse few out from under the bushes and startled us both. I accidently let go of the leash and my dog chased the birds. They flew across the busy road and of course my dog chased them.
Approximately four cars had to stop rather suddenly and thankfully no one rear-ended each other nor was any accident caused. I am so grateful to all the careful and observant drivers for not hitting my dog.
Thank you for following the speed limits and being aware of your surroundings.
