St. Albertans should not lose respect for our local RCMP

Re: Snow plow controversy: Wow, has this ever garnered attention. Regardless of the outcome I will not lose any respect for the St. Albert RCMP. From personal experiences, they are very professional and are a credit to our community.

The community support for Dr. Cooper is enlightening. You have to love St. Albert. Contrary to one writer, I do not believe it is irresponsible to comment on the byelaw infraction. With respect to the criminal charges to the son, I have seen very few comments. This also is appropriate.

The RCMP should take the high road especially in matters of bylaw enforcement. Dr. Cooper was not the only person operating an ATV yet he was the only one to receive a fine. Apparently this was due to the improper parking of his truck. If this is true then Dr. Cooper should have been charged with a vehicle infraction.

The bylaw infraction is a very minor issue and none of us should lose any respect for our local RCMP.
