I fully agree with Bryan Corbett (St. Albert Gazette, May 31) when he says that penny pinching citizens and councillors will ensure that St. Albert remains a semi-great city.
However, when he names councillors Hughes and Russell as the leading penny pinchers on council, he has forgotten councillor Cam Mackay who should also be a part of that twosome. These three councillors and their supporters of naysayers and anti-everything mantra, will discourage people of vision to seek election because in the end the voices of the anti folks are louder than that of the progressives, who eventually can only end up shaking their heads in despair because this city is going nowhere, but down.
