Way to go St. Albert and area, for electing two completely inexperienced and unmotivated individuals as MLAs for our district. I did not realize the backgrounds of those elected into office until I read the articles in the Gazette on Saturday, May 9. In the article in reference to Marie Renaud, do the citizens of this community not realize how ridiculous it sounds when Renaud outright admits that she did not even want to run in this election and refused on multiple attempts even when approached by Notley? She then decided to eventually run when another politician told her that she would be a good MLA because she did not really want or care to be one. So this is whom St. Albert has elected to make decisions and represent us in legislature, as long as she can get past her self-admitted forecast that she "is going to say a lot of really stupid things." Really St. Albert? On top of this all, Renaud doesn't even live in St Albert, and she refers to a phone call from the Speakers office as a funny call, I am grasping because she did not even know what it was.
The other elect, from my riding on the west side of St Albert is Horne, a Grant MacEwan student, soon to be dropout, whose number one priority in his new role is going to get a new wardrobe.
I wish, if people didn't know who to vote for, they would have just stayed home! Because now we are going to be represented by these individuals with no insight into what their new role entails, and many of us are scared to see what is around the corner.
