How is shredded paper not recyclable as paper?
This past week, I had occasion to shred many old documents, throw away some unshredded paper and some old magazines. All were put in a blue recycle bag.
The recycle garbage pickup folks refused to take said bag and put a note on the bag stating they do not take shredded material (paper).
How is shredded paper different from a full page sheet of paper or even torn pieces of paper?
