Servus Place should be considered for branch library

Dave Cunningham's letter (Gazette, July 15) in which he proposes that ill used space in Servus Place be considered for the branch library is not so 'contrarian' after all. His letter is much discussed at coffee meetings and at my dentist's office.

What a great idea. Mom can spend some time in the branch library while waiting for her children and people can easily drop in to pick up or deliver a book. And, as we begin annexation discussions with Sturgeon County we have to be cognizant of the fact that the county views the Sturgeon River valley as a prime development area and future citizens of that area would have convenient access to Servus Place. Besides, what started out as a modest branch library north of the river has now become a multi-million dollar copy of the main library along with the three per cent tax increase and it is certainly not getting the support of the people who are talking to me.
