School's culinary talents worthy of praise

This week I enjoyed the best meal I have ever eaten in St. Albert and I thought it was worth mentioning. It was not at one of the fine restaurants in St. Albert although I have enjoyed some great meals at The Cajun House, A Taste of Ukraine, Nello's, Sorrentino’s and others, it was in the unlikely location of a high school.

I went with moderate expectations to be supportive of a youth venture and came away thoroughly impressed. The Bellerose Business Venture students put on a Thai meal that was made from scratch with fresh ingredients and served with excellent presentation. The flavours of the four-course meal were complex and yet delicious. Under the leadership of teacher Jason Dabbagh, young people are able to learn new skills, and step out confidently into the competitive culinary field. I would highly recommend you try to get tickets for one of their meals, which are presented only once a month. You won't regret it. Well done BBV!
