You can't find money-saving efficiencies unless there is waste, incompetence and mismanagement.
By stating his department will find $54 million “through efficiencies” Education Minister David Eggen has acknowledged that for the past two years Alberta Education has wasted $104 million (Gazette, March 4) “Province drops axe on some school fees.”
I look forward to Eggen providing a $54-million, line-by-line accounting of the efficiencies/waste – before the next election and without the need for taxpayers to FOIP the information.
