History buffs can celebrate!
Thanks to the very good commentary from Jared Milne (Gazette, April 14) about Lester B. Pearson, a Canadian prime minister who indeed had many accomplishments including a Nobel peace prize, and our Canadian flag.
Our family has taken great delight in honouring it every July 1st, with a family picnic, and a flag flies outside my house.
Pearson was indeed a legend. We should be grateful to him for the Auto Pact alone, a colour-blind points immigration, in this day and age. Thanks Jared.
