We all know how much our city loves to spend money on art projects for everyone to look at. Yes it does cost a large amount of our tax dollars. Yet I am still wondering why the city hasn't put the money toward restoring an art project, which is one of our treasures. Where is our wonderful T-Bird that used to sit in front of our legion?
Why can't we spend money to fix such a meaningful monument? It sits proudly on the ground while other projects get mounted around the city. There was talk of waiting for a park. We are all still waiting. When will it be restored and sitting proudly again?
There are many military families that live in our city including mine, and knowing that it was a priority to restore a national symbol would mean a lot to the community. Almost all legions in Canada have a T-Bird. Moving it to a park away from the legion should never have even been considered.
Please restore an amazing piece of art and put it back where it belongs so all of St Albert can enjoy a beautiful art piece.
