Reader's hope rekindled after theft

Last month I wrote a letter to the St. Albert Gazette and its readers venting my frustration and disappointment when my work trailer was stolen along with a large percentage of my tools.

Last month I wrote a letter to the St. Albert Gazette and its readers venting my frustration and disappointment when my work trailer was stolen along with a large percentage of my tools.

My intentions were simple — to blow off some steam and share the impact of these selfish actions. The reaction from the residents of St. Albert has been quite overwhelming to say the least. I have been the recipient of many calls, offers of assistance with the loan of tools, a kind word and the sharing of many a similar story. I would like to express thanks on behalf of my family for the many sincere gestures.

I would also like to express my special gratitude to a gentleman who called offering any tools he could spare as his company converts to its winter operation as a snow removal firm. I was unable to understand enough of the phone number and company name to call personally.

Thank you, St. Albert.

Richard Harris, St. Albert
