There I am leaving St. Albert to go to work up north to pay for my home and the property taxes of the city I live in when what do I see once again making our city views look bad? Yes a huge area of snow removed just so the photo radar vehicle can sit there — on a Sunday morning before most people have even left church yet — to hand out tickets.
Do we have nothing better to do than pay our city workers to remove snow all over our city so the photo radar vehicles can park and once again ruin beautiful grass and make us pay to get it replanted again? This ruined a beautiful Sunday morning — seeing them idle on the side of a road; just to make a few more dollars? I am sure they have other areas they do not have to dig up or ruin the grass that the taxpayers of St. Albert pay for over and over because of the greed for a few photo radar tickets.
By the way, the photo radar operator was also hidden pretty good behind a huge mountain of snow (on Sir Winston Churchill Avenue near Woodlands Road). I'm sure people saw him though, what with his vehicle running the whole time there taking pictures. It’s the same story coming down the hill and corner on Gervais Road (where the city has replanted grass a few times).
Isn't it enough already? Haven't they ruined enough views and areas of grass? Enough of the hiding, taking pictures and constant engine idling! Stop ruining our city!
