Kudos on the question of why does the Gazette not push for the number of tickets written by the St. Albert RCMP officers? Furthermore, to the question (Gazette, Jan. 27) of why does the St. Albert RCMP not release the traffic enforcement tickets written each month?
When the Edmonton Police Services have a weekend of traffic enforcement their stats are released. You read the Edmonton police stats in the newspapers and hear the stats on all the radio stations. Why are we, the taxpayers of St. Albert, not provided with what the RCMP are doing on the streets in traffic enforcement.
Insp. Pam Robinson of the St. Albert police station must show us how many tickets are being issued in St. Albert. This will give us ,the residents of St. Albert a view of how busy you are and why you may need 10 more police officers for St. Albert. We the people deserve the information.
