Why is St. Albert Trail from Gate Avenue to St. Anne Street still a truck route with the opening of Anthony Henday and Ray Gibbons?
The sound barrier wall east of the trail is falling down and sinking from heavy trucks. The vibration the trucks cause is very bad for underground utilities. They have already taken the top section from the wall so it doesn't fall on someone.
The city is sending out certificates for residents who back onto the wall to go to Hole’s to purchase vines put on the wall to cover it up. I mean, really, is that the best corrective action to take regarding a falling wall?
If they stopped the truck route in this direction there would be very little maintenance to that wall and maybe a chance to fix it instead of taxpayers’ monies going to a new wall or Hole’s greenhouse vines.
