It is my considered opinion that snow removal in St Albert is unacceptable. In fact, snow removal has become a misnomer; mountainous windrow creation is the service we are provided. Every year we go through many cycles of melting and re-freezing, and these windrows of snow melt onto our sidewalks then freeze into dangerous ice that is difficult to remove.
This is morally reprehensible. The city is offloading the cost and effort of snow removal onto its residents; abdicating its own responsibility. We deserve better.
