Petty thefts plague community

I am wanting to bring forward an issue that is plaguing this community: petty thefts!

I am hoping to have two BMX-style adult bikes returned to me that were stolen from my garage in the last week of May. These bikes belonged to my children, who had saved their money up for almost two years in order to purchase them.

Needless to say, they are devastated. The first bike is dark turquoise in colour with a black seat and 20-inch wheels. The second bike is dark purple in colour with a black seat and 20-inch wheels. They are both BMX bikes and were purchased at United Cycle. They are in new condition.

Also, during the month of April or May, my daughter also had her longboard stolen from our yard. It has black grip tape on the top, and the bottom is a black and white collage of random people/items. I can also provide the brand names of each of these items for verification should someone wish to turn them in. They can also be dropped off at the police station as I have reported this incident.

Neighbours, parents, citizens, please keep your eyes open, especially if you live in Lacombe Park Estates and your children/teens frequently walk along Leonard Drive to get to the trails at Lacombe Lake Park – we live on the route. These bikes were both stolen right out of our garage, and likely in broad daylight while we were at home.

If you suspect you see someone using any of these items, particularly in Lacombe Park Estates, Lacombe Park, or North Ridge, please phone me at 780-716-2558, or phone the police. We would be forever grateful to have any of these items returned.
