Was research done on the effect of rainbow crosswalks on motorcycle safety?
Current crosswalks can be treacherous during and after a rain as the oils and fluids from cars builds up and becomes slick. More paints, especially if not intentionally designed for road use, need to be tested.
As per your previous articles, could community groups, including the LGBTQ2+ community, participate in sponsoring crosswalks, funding maintenance and upgrades, and be recognized with signage? This could operate much the same as the "Adopt a highway" program.
