I recently read the letter to the editor (Gazette, Feb. 21) "Solution to dog park waste problem seems obvious"
Here is my solution. Owning a dog is a privilege and not a right. With that privilege comes responsibility . Taking my dog for a walk means that I have a responsibility to bring what I need with me, i.e., a bag, a leash and a ball, if my dog will be playing in the park.
I don't think that it is the responsibility of the city of St. Albert to provide bags any more than it is the responsibility of the city to provide dog owners with a ball so their dog can play in the park.
