It is time that we started to look at the practicality in considering the design of a new library. Don’t waste money on fancy designs, which takes up most of the cost. Build a basic design building and spend the taxpayers’ money on the inside making practical working and learning areas.
Spend the money on modern up-to-date equipment. Make it functional with the possibility of being able to add onto the building if required in the future. You can make a simple building quite attractive with the proper landscaping. It is not the design of the outside of the building that draws our community to the library.
