I am writing in response to the letter written by Karl Godden re. “Learn some manners.”
When I began to read your letter, it made a level of sense. Why do people feel a need to have their vehicle horn sound to know their vehicle is in locked or alarm mode. Even I have done it, although very seldom and only when I feel I want that extra sense of security knowing my property is protected. However, Mr. Godden, your credibility went into the proverbial tank when you ended your letter with, “I invite everyone to send in an email to the news and overpaid government workers.”
Huh? What does your statement of public sector workers have anything to do with your argument? After first feeling a sense of doing my bit, and not wanting to, in your words, disturb 60 to 80 people (I assume you are speaking as their spokesperson), I changed my feeling and will now arm my car more frequently and as often as I want. That is my right!
