Mayor and most of council out to lunch

Mayor Crouse, you are starting to act like an entitled PC party member. I too would like to take city coffers and build myself some fancy new digs at taxpayer’s expense.

Mayor Crouse, you are starting to act like an entitled PC party member. I too would like to take city coffers and build myself some fancy new digs at taxpayer’s expense. Is this your legacy before you leave office? You have a nicely designed city hall already and have taken over some other buildings in the area to house your city employees. Maybe do like the schools are forced to do in an overcrowding situation ... bring in portables. Or if you have too many staff maybe take a close look to see if they are all needed?

Every other government body is cutting back on staff. Until we have decent roads to drive on (pothole free) and countdown lights that change when it gets to zero not sit on green for another eight seconds and you have stopped and you have the usual ignorant St. Albert drivers honking at you (by the way there are at least three lights I have found that do that). When we get a large cut in our taxes instead of the yearly increase maybe then look at a new palace.

We may be the best city in Canada to live in but there are things not so great about this city.

Remember you too were voted in to work for the taxpayer. I could go on and on with the list but there isn't enough room in the paper. The taxpayer is not here to fund your dreams, mayor. Two council members seem to have some down-to-Earth reality on life but as usual the rest of council and the mayor are out to lunch.

J. Richie, St. Albert
