Thank you Aulden Maj-Pfleger, (Gazette, Jan. 13) for enabling me to reiterate my thoughts. I am not against many of the activities mentioned what I am concerned about is that what we need is space in the community to carry out these varied activities and call them what they are – community recreation programs. There are spaces available in other community areas. Maybe what we need is a recreation centre, one with an extra teaching pool added to it.
But Maj-Pfleger, it would seem that you may have an ally on St Albert council, the mayor. We are told that even though the plebiscite did not give a nod to the library, it might still happen as we are going to be asked all over again, in different formats to rethink what we decided we needed because clearly the citizens of St Albert did not understand the questions. So I say to you, do not despair – you may yet get your wish.
