In reply to Ron Kube (Gazette, Nov. 8) who said "Democracy: It’s when elected leaders balance the needs of all their citizens, and not just the majority. Democracy: It’s when the newly elected mayor and council respect the voice of 38.3% of their citizens and do build a structure the electorate has said ‘Yes’ to." Unfortunately we do live in a democracy and Cathy Heron won as mayor as she had the most votes. I think you are okay with that. But then an issue was soundly defeated and you say that it is correct to build a library because the majority doesn't count. So under your rules of a democracy, for the rest of us who voted, Cam MacKay should be mayor now? I am trying to understand your logic Mr. Kube. Ted Durham, St. Albert
