In the spirit of Christmas, I hope someone will do the right thing.
On Nov. 28, I took my daughter swimming. I placed my wedding ring and engagement ring (they're soldered together) in my diaper bag. I usually hang them on the coat hook in the locker so I see them and place them on my finger right away, I did not this day.
I locked my bags in the locker. After swimming I did not put them back on ... out of sight out of mind. We then went to the playroom for a little while.
The next day, I went to get my rings out of the bag and they were gone.
One of two things happened. They fell out of the bag in the change room and someone saw them on the floor and took them or someone went into my bag while we were in the playroom. Either way, they are gone.
These rings have a very high sentimental value. Yes, they are my wedding/engagement rings, but they are also family heirlooms. The engagement ring was my grampa’s mum’s. My grampa passed just last year and this is a small part of him I have left. This ring is close to 80 years old. The wedding band was my dad’s mum’s.
My heart is broken. How someone could take something of someone’s is beyond me. I am hoping for a Christmas miracle at this point.
If you have my rings, please turn them into the RCMP. I will ask no questions. I just want them back. I would give up all my Christmas gifts for the rest of my life to have my rings returned.
