I disagree with Mr. Ferguson's opinion that there will be an increase in traffic delays as a result of the “left turn on green arrow only.” The protected left turn has been in place for many years. The only thing that’s changed is that drivers can no longer turn left on the green light (after the arrow light has gone out).
It's not the protected left turns that are the cause of the increasing traffic along the St. Albert Trail, it's that St. Albert and surrounding communities are growing at an exponential rate, and thus there is the corresponding increase in traffic.
