Library was once a quiet space

I agree with everything that Bert LaBuick wrote (Gazette, June 28). We already have a unique, beautiful library and it's never been crowded when I've been there. But this being St. Albert, council has to find something to spend our money on as Mr.

I do have one complaint however … when did the library become a place for children to run around screaming? I love to see children in the library but it used to be a place where they were taught that this was a quiet place and to respect those who were reading, studying, etc. Not anymore. Neither the parents nor the librarians do anything to see that they behave. What a pity. That used to be part of the experience of going to the library for children. My children found it rather mystical and loved it.
