I was disappointed to see a large display in the front entrance of the St. Albert library supporting library expansion. Most, if not all, of the "pro-expansion" display was compiled by library staff. I respect the right to express their opinion. However, I take exception to the fact they are expressing their biased views in a public facility, which is funded by taxpayers. Were those who have an opposing or balanced view on library expansion given the same opportunity to put up a display in this public facility? I don't think so. If we are going to use public facilities as forums to lobby contentious issues then the views need to be balanced with equal opportunity for all constituents. In my opinion, it is totally inappropriate for library staff to use the public facility as a forum to express their self-serving views. Don Schneider, St. Albert
